Notes:
William and Margaret Bright, originally from Lincolnshire, England, landed at Raglan where they had two sons, William and John.

William Bright (1865-1932) married Fannie L. Bryant (1867-1922) by whom he had two children. He later married Maude Estella Bryant (1872-1949). Like his brother and father, William Bright was an avid farmer breeding horses and Durham cattle. He was involved with the South Ontario Agricultural Society. He is buried at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.

John Bright (1865-1917) married Etta Florence Smith in 1888 by whom he had four children. John Bright held many local political positions including Reeve of Whitby and Warden of Ontario County. He bred Clydesdales and Shorthorns and was well known throughout the county for the quality of his livestock. In 1913 he was appointed Dominion Livestock Commissioner and the family moved to Ottawa. He is buried at Groveside Cemetery, Brooklin.
