A black and white photograph of the Spurril house.
Notes:
This house was located at 1234 Dundas Street East. One of the first brick buildings in Whitby, this house stood on the north side of Dundas Street, east of Anderson Street. It was built as early as the 1830s and at one time was known as Spurril's Hotel. It was demolished in 1965, to make way for the widening of Dundas Street. This was one of the original buildings of the settlement at Hamer's Corners in Whitby.
