A black and white portrait photograph of Harold Francis Bratley.
Notes:
Harold Francis Bratley was born on January 25, 1924 at Whitby, son of Herbert and Hazel Bratley. He was a member of the Ontario Regmiment Reserve for two years until he joined the active forces on March 29, 1943. He went overseas in November 1943 and went into action on D-Day with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles. He was killed in action at Calais, France on September 27, 1944.

According to the Canadian Virtual War Memorial site he is commemorated on page 257 of the Second World War Book of Remembrance. He is interred at CALAIS CANADIAN WAR CEMETERY (Leubringhen), Pas de Calais, France.

This photograph also appears on the front of the thirteenth leaf of Alex Brown's album. There are four photos on this leaf. The top left photo is of Bill Foster. The top right photo is of Jim McIvor. The bottom left photo is of Harold Bratley and bottom right photo is of John Watson.
