After a stint serving in the Second World War, Harold took over the Beaupre Paint and Wallpaper store in 1946. After a couple of moves, one due to a fire, he changed the name to Beaupre Interiors. When he retired in 1979 he followed his hobby of many years and opened a shop called Beaupre Stamps where hobbyists could buy for their own collections.
