- “Dr. Oranhyatekha – During the formative years, one of the oustanding Canadians to participate and become the first Medical Referee was Dr. Oranhyatekha, a Past District Master from London, Ontario. Oranyhatekha was a full-blooded Indian born on the Six Nations' Reserve near Brantford. He obtained an early education and was chosen by the Chiefs of his tribe to present an address to the Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) during the historic 1860 Canadian visitation. The Prince was so impresed by the bearing and dignity of the young brave, that he invited, and arranged that Oranhyatekha should continue studies at Oxford in England. Such was the calibre of the men who tended range Insurance in its formative years – April 1968 “The Sentinel””
