The Wayside Elm

Photo of "The Wayside Elm." This tree was located about 2 miles north of Avonton. It was 7 feet in diameter and far over 100 feet high (according to the information written on the back of 0760ph). See inscription for "poem" that appeared in the St. Marys Journal (one of the two St. Marys papers that existed at that time).
