Victoria Bridge

Description
Media Type:
Image
Item Type:
Photographs
Description:
A description on the back of the photograph says: "this is the stone bridge over the Thames River on one end of the main street. You can see why we call the place the 'Stone Town.'"

This photograph shows a view of the Victoria Bridge and some of the north side of Queen Street. You can see a car is driving over the bridge and people are walking on the attached sidewalk. Behind the bridge, this photo provides a good view of the Royal Edward Hotel.

Based on the style of automobile and the presence of the walkway on the south side of the bridge (which was added in the 1930s) this photo was likely taken in the 1930s.
