Description:
This is a photo of the interior of the St. James Anglican Church, looking towards the altar. On the left, there is a man wearing white robes.

The St. James Anglican Church was built in 1857, and is the oldest church in St. Marys. The oldest portion of the church was a simple rectangular building made of St. Marys limestone that seated 350 people. Around the 1880s, unlike the other St. Marys churches at the time who decided to rebuild, the Anglican church maintained their original building and expanded on it.
