- Description:
- Copper kettle used during the early 19th century. The kettle is from George Macnoe's estate and was previously owned by a relative in New York who died around the time of the War of 1812.
The copper pot has a removable lid with a handle in the center of the lid and a moveable handle that arches above the pot. Approximately 3 3/4 inches in height and 6 inches in diameter.
There is a blue-green patina on places on the inside and outside of the vessel and the lid, as well as a red coloured corrosion.
