Summer reading
The Petawawa Village and Township
Union Public Library will be holding a
summer reading program again this year.
The theme this year is "Gobble it Up",
as advertised by Godfrey the Gobbler in
the Civic Centre Days parade.
The summer reading program is for
children in Grades 2 to 6 and it is offered
every morning, Monday to Thursday, from
9:30 am until 11:15 am in the library.
Friday is film day for all children-even
those who do not wish to be involved in
the reading program. Films will be shown
in the library from 10 am until 11 am
beginning July 6.
Also included in the summer
program will be crafts, songs, games,
and cooking.
According to organizers, "this will
not be an English or reading course but
rather a fun activity with a reading
emphasis."
