J. R. Booth, Ltd., floated to the mill on Tuesday of last week. Mr. White of the above Company was here on Friday looking over the situation.

***

Mr. Morris Clouthier and Mr. William Clouthier were drowned Monday morning at Stonecliffe, and the body of Mr. Morris Clouthier was found this afternoon. The remains are being forwarded to Pembroke. The residents of Stonecliffe are grappling in the river for the body of William Clouthier. The young men whose ages are somewhat around twenty-two years, had been spending Sunday in Stonecliffe. They were returning by canoe to their work and as neither were expert canoeists, they were caught in the rapids, and the canoe was upset. They were employed by the Bear Lake Fish and Game Club, which is composed of American sportsmen, and were working on a road for these men. They had been in Stonecliffe since early in the summer. Morris Clouthier is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clouthier, who live about three miles from Pembroke, and William Clouthier is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Clouthier, who live at Petawawa.
