Library Week Winds Down,
Busy Winter Season Expected
PETAWAWA - As this special week for
libraries right across the province of
Ontario comes to an end. Petawawa Library
gears up for a winter season of heavy
reading, all manner of school projects by
students, increased Interlibrarv Loan
transactions and a new season of special
children's programs and exhibits.
An exhibit of oil paints by both Betty
Casselman and the late Murray Mc- Nab are
on display in the library as part of the
celebrations and will remain on the walls
until the end of the month.
Scheduled for November are two
programs one for children and one for
adults. "How to Start an Independent
Business" is the subject of a seminar
presented by Ledoux, Sonego and
Associates Ltd. of Ottawa which should
appeal to budding entrepreneurs in this
area This will take place on Tuesday, Nov 3.

library at 687-2227. The Great Canadian
Theatre Company will perform "The New
Canadian Kid" in the Petawawa Civic
Centre Hall at 2 p.m. on Wednesday. Nov.
18.
Preschool storvtime has started up
again, parents and tots are welcome at 9:30
a.m. on Thursdays for this activity. Contact
the library at 687-2227 for further
information.
The library board is also looking for
volunteer workers. Anyone interested
