- Description
- A black and white photograph showing two streetcars being pulled by a truck during a sleet storm. The words "Eleanor St." can be seen on the front of the first streetcar. Bicyclists and other vehicles are in the street and pedestrians walk along the sidewalk.
- Notes
- Because of a power failure during a sleet storm on March 30 and 31, 1922, streetcars had to be pulled to the barns. These streetcars are being pulled by a Ruggles truck, manufactured in London, Ontario. Note the "R" (for Ruggles) on the grille of the truck.
The original car barns were located at Dundas and Lyle Streets, the location shown on the map.
