- This black and white print was produced from an illustration that appeared in the Canadian Illustrated News, 30 October 1875 and shows the Provincial Exhibition Building designed by the architect William Robinson in 1861.
- Notes
- Originally built for the Provincial Exhibition of 1861 which was held in London and known also as the Crystal Palace this wood and brick building based on an octagonal core would be used for Provincial Exhibitions and for London's own Western Fair until 1887, when the fair moved to Queen's Park, its present location. The Crystal Palace was located on the north-east corner of Central Avenue and Wellington Street and has long since been demolished.
