MACKEY STATION (Special) —Head, Clara and Maria town¬ship council gathered here re¬cently for its inaugural meet¬ing with only the reeve, Mrs. Loretta Boissonneault, having recent experience as a coun¬cil member.

Mrs. Boissonnault, a council¬lor for the past 12 years, was successful in her December bid to, upseat reeve Art Yates for the chief administrator's job.

Council voted to apply for the maximum of $10,000 for normal road expenditures during 1969. The sum of $9,193.59 was spent on road work during 1968, coun¬cil announced.

Since only three people are on welfare in the township, it was decided not to appoint a w e 1 f a r e administrator. The reeve will continue to handle the job as in past years.

In an effort to bring the township budget in line, council has been asked to consider its monthly stipend and reduce it if possible. A decision on this matter will be reached at the next meeting.

Applications for the combined job of bylaw enforcement offi¬cer, dog catcher and building inspector in each of the four areas Deux Riviers, Bissetts, Stonecliffe and Mackey will be called for, council said.

Charles Delahunt was ap¬pointed chairman of the Com¬munity Centre board and direc¬tors are Vickie Jennings, Mrs. Mary Ellen Boudreau, Ellen Panke, Elmer Donnelly, Ralph Turcotte, Donald Francoeur, Mary Sennett and Ken Wilson.

Mr. Delahunt advised council that family season rink tickets are now available at $2 per family.
