In 1989 Our Lady of the Snows celebrated it's 40th Anniversary (1949-1989).

Our Lady of the Snows was officially closed on October 9, 2004.

There were no new beginnings on July 19, 2007. The population in the townships dropped as people moved on in search of work or for those who were getting on in years, communities with more amenities. Parishioners, those who were too young to have seen this church built, but who had been baptized here, stood along side their parents who had been married at the family church, and they stood beside their parents who had helped build Our Lady of the Snows Parish.

Today (2010) the lot sits empty and for sale. Residents explain that the church couldn't have been saved because it was in such disrepair. Though the building may be gone, groups started in the church, i.e. the Catholic Woman's League, still serve the community.

While the community of Stonecliffe has lost its gathering place, Mackey still has the land where St. Narcissus Parish once stood. The water never rose as high as had been expected and a plaque was erected on July 7, 1985 to designate the site of the former Parish. The property is now called Old Mackey's Park, a place where residents can gather and enjoy a piece of their history.
