- Description
- Black and white photograph showing the Canadian Northern Docks, along Port Arthur's waterfront, Prince Arthurs Landing. Shown in the picture is the S.S. Noronic and S.S. Huronic. The Noronic was equipped to carry 600 passengers. By 1916, Northern Navigation's fleet consisted of the Hamonic, the Huronic, the Noronic, the Doric, and the Ionic on the Lake Superior route. The Hamonic and Huronic were the mainstays for the entire navigation season on Lake Superior, while the Noronic joined them only in the summer, freeing it for cruises during the spring and fall.
