The date would suggest that this photo refers to the original bank at The Landing - the Ontario Bank established 1875 using the dwelling of first settler Robert McVicar at the foot of Arthur Street which later merged with the Bank of Montreal. But it may refer perhaps to the original location of the Bank of Montreal at Lorne and Water Streets.
