Description:
Black and white photo of Big Master Mine with Eugene Martin in the foreground. The Martin Family had the general store and Mr. Martin was the Justice of the Peace as well as the postmaster for Gold Rock. Big Master Mine produced gold until around 1904. Due to financial difficulties the bondholders foreclosed and Big Master Mine was sold to Benjamin Hammond of New York, USA. By 1907 all work had ceased.
