- Sakoose Mine, which also went by the names Watson Mine or Golden Whale, was situated at mining location HW 416, south of Dyment, in 1868. In 1901 it was sold by the owners Monroe and Watson, to the Ottawa Gold Mining and Milling Company Limited, and became Sakoose Mine.
