To tell the story of Dundas is to know its people and places. The history of Dundas has been handed down from one generation to the next through a number of means, the most moving are its photographs. Many can now be found in the Dundas Museum and Archives collections. These images frozen in time have captured the life of Dundas for all to see. This human desire to preserve memory fuelled the development of photography in the 19th century. The following display will take the reader into the history of photography and into the life of Dundas.
