After the unexpected stop of the royal train carrying George VI and Queen Elizabeth on their 1939 tour of Canada, Parisians enthusiastically rushed to the observation car in order to greet the King and Queen. This photograph provides a closer view of the crowd, with a clear view of the King and Queen aboard the observation car.
