Description
This item is a letter sent from J. Sutton Clark, a merchant in St. George, to George Foster and Sons from September of approximately 1905. Mr. Clark writes that he had not received an order for sardines and hopes to receive it soon. He notes that the current price of sardines is $3.25 per case for delivery and would like to offer 10 cents on commission for each case sold. He further assures George Foster that any other orders will receive his prompt attention.

Messrs Geo Foster and Sons

Brantford

Ont.

Gentlemen,

Its us with night have not as

[yet] received your fall order for Sardines

I judge you will be in the [moment] in

the near future and beg to place myself

before you [illegible] that you favor my

with a [preference] at least of your business

The present price of Sardines is three

dollars and 25/100 per case delivered which is

pure to advance. To [produce] you to

buy at once [I ask] the following offer

all who send orders at once to me

I shall allow a commission of ten cents

per case.

Hoping to hear from you shortly

and assuring you that any orders will

have my prompt attention.
