Fanny Tyler Jay passed away on August 02, 1827 at the age of 1 year 10 months and is buried at the Oakland Pioneer Cemetery. The inscription is difficult to read but it appears that she was the daughter of Samuel W. & Lavina Jay, which would make her the sister of W. Tyler Jay, John Jay, and James M. Jay.
