Description:
Black and white picture of three men on an elevated platform next to the railroad. Behind this building is a water tank, on the far end of the railyard. On the elevated platform there is one or two rail cars. This was used to load coal on to railway cars.
Notes:
This place was called the coal chute. It burned in the 1930's. The empty railroad cars stopped in front of the chutes and the coal was dropped in. The engine was got water while the coal was being loaded. The station was located near the railroad bridge.
