As well as the "contact sheet" side of the blue card which shows all photographs taken by Parks Canada at their visit, 3 photographs of the building are included in this record. The building housed the Trans-Canada Life-Ware company at time of photographing by Parks Canada. They estimated it to have been built in 1870.. Trans-Canada Life-Ware was incorporated in 1959, dissolved in 1997. The company was started by George B. Mills of Oakville and Alvin W. Thomas of Waterdown. The company holds a patent for an electric frying pan that provides superior connectivity with the heating element.
