To Subscribers and Renters;
At the annual meeting of the Subscribers held on February 18th, after much discussion on the financial condition of the System, it was agreed that the present schedule of rates was not sufficient to properly maintain the lines of the System and a resolution was Passed requesting approval of The Ontario Municipal Board for an increase of $4.00 per annum to apply to all telephone users.
Approval of The Ontario Municipal Board was granted to the increased schedule on March 7th, 1951, to take effect on July 1st 1951, as follows:
To Paid-up Subscribers:

Extra charge for hand set type telephone2.50 a year
The above charges are payable half yearly, in advance, on July 1st and January 1st.
In order to properly finance the System it is important that these rates be paid promptly when billed,
LONG DISTANCE TOLLS are required to be Paid to The Bell Telephone Company this System each month; therefore credit on such tolls cannot be extended beyond thirty days, and service to customers in arrears will have to be suspended.
