think again The West Vancouver branch of the Royal Canadian Legion should cooperate with the people who started the Memorial Library 30 years ago as far as putting up memorial plinths is concerned, Alderman Ann Arnott advised the Legion Monday night. She told Legion representatives they should seek the advice and opinion of the original committee members who raised funds for the library. “Together you can resolve a fitting memorial,” Alderman Arnott added. The Legion agreed and also indicated that the plinths would be smaller than six to nine feet high. The Legion said earlier they would like to erect two plinths or “stelae” in Memorial Park with the names of West Vancouver citizens who were killed in the two world wars.
