EARLY 1900's Meisenheimer School - Turtle Lake Road Copy of Newspaper Article donated by June Stoneman School days of long ago This photograph which s about 80 years old was discovered recently by Bert Foreman while he was going through some old pictures. It hows the students of what was known as the Meisenheimer School. The school was located on the property about four miles west of Rosseau on Turtle Lake Road, which once belonged to Mr. Foreman's great grandfather Adam Meisenheimer. It was later replaced by a frame school which is now used as a private summer cottage. Names listed on the back of the old photograph are: Back row (left to right) Gilbert Scott, Mary Ellen Scott, Maggie Lorimer and Priscilla Stoneman. Middle row: Walter Dirk Stoneman.
