Quebec Whitestone Parry Sound October the 20 1901 Dear friends I got your letter a few days ago and should of answered sooner only I have been up to Katrine for 10 days and just got back a week ago and I have not been verry well since we came home I got a bad cold but this leaves us all pretty well the children is going to school and Bill is busy doing his fall work and getting redy for hunters he has a gang to go with I was glad to hear you are over your worst trouble I trust but sorry to hear you are getting better so slow I have been praying staedy that you might get better and be spaired to be over yourlittle children it is a poor home with out a mother I have found that out since our poor mother has gone but I trust they are better gone there is nothing in this World to keep us here Well Dear sister I would like to go down to see you so well Mrs Buchanan and I was just trying to plan some way to go if our house was quiet but it is not safe for a woman to drive her we would have to have one if bill was gone to camp and Bob is going in a few days and she is trying to get some one to stay with her but I think we will try and go as soon as it come slaying let me know right away how you are and if you are worse I will go right away if I have to walk the money is so scarce with us or could go on stage Willie paid my way up to Anty and back he is here yet but is going to camp right away I found them all well up there Anty looks better than she did last fall she told me to tell you to rite to her she said she roat to you along time ago she said she was going to try and go and see you some time I am riting to her today and I shall tell her about you I had a nice time only it rained most all the time I was away and I sick and andrew that is her family her name is Mrs Vandusen I was one night and day there and then Emily she is Mrs Burle i was there one night she is tall and slim + looks verry much like Mrs Ring she has 3 children one boy Willie and mary and Ida that is her youngest aged 6 she has had heart disease for yearrs until four years ago she got medison from Indian doctor that was selling medison and she has not been trubled since and she did take (?) just like you do she told me to let you know about it and peraps you can get it from them Indians down there I have forgot the name of it and Tilly Lambell at least Mrs Strickland now she has 2 little girls one Ema and Ellen She has a nice man he was afle good to me he is the greatest man to make you eat. I ever say we eat 5 times the day we was there I was 2 nights and a day there and I was 2 nights at Tom Cambell he has a nice little woman one little boy Charley Bob and Foster were both there was 3 families I did not get to see Whites and James Fladden and a Mr St John some friends of your father they live about 5 miles from anty I was to Mr Filip Sniders and had tea with them she is verry sickly and mostly blind but he is the same old man as ever they are pretty comfortable I was to Mary and she has 5 children she is a big fat woman she has one girl the eldest she calls her Livina after ant Livinig and one little girl Margret ann after Mah and one boy Charles he is 5 her baby how does he look like you want to give him another name call him Earel that is my favouright Bob and Eva both sends there love to you she she would like to go down with me Willie said he was going to rite apice and put it in this letter to you to night but Joe Conor came hear and wanted him to go with him and cut wood tomorrow he is sending those pins to Morris and Fred tie pins my little Will is selling them he sells 150 and then he gets more of them he had 30 to sell but he has only 9 left now Mrs Gorhanis all well she is going to have alot of hunters bording this season I think I have told you all for this you will think this enough to be said rite soon to me as I get ankish to hear from you and know how you are if you are able try and go see them next spring you could go in two or three hours on train or less time train runs right close to anties Well Dear sister you will no dout think this a busy letter but I am riting everything as I think it when you are not well it will be comfort for you to get alot of news susposen it is nonsens tell Liza Brear I think she might of come and see me when she was home give my love to martha and I shall rite to her right away and Mrs Little and all acquantences tell Call I said he is doing well 3 boys now and lots of help soon I would like to see them from your sister jane Ladd tell maggie to rite anty a long letter I send my love to Call and kisses to Morris and Maggie Fred and baby and love to Liza and please excpt a full month of kisses your self -S
