Victoria, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, QUEEN, Defender of the Faith, &c., &c., &c.  To all whom these Presents shall come—GREETING:
Know Ye, that We, of Our Special Grace, certain Knowledge, and mere Motion, have GIVEN and GRANTED and by these Presents do Give and Grant, under the authority of “The Free Grants and Homestead Act of 1868,” unto Thomas Sword of the Township of Christie in the District of Parry Sound, Yeoman, a Free Grant Settler his Heirs, and Assigns FOREVER:  All those Parcels or Tracts of Land, situated in the Township of Christie, in the District of Parry Sound.  Our said Province, containing by admeasurement One hundred and Ninety one acres be the same more or less;  being composed of Lot Number Eighteen in the Fifth concession(Ninety eight acres) and Lot number Nineteen in the Sixth concession (Ninety three acres) of the aforesaid Township of Christie-  Reserving free access to the Shore of the waters or Stream flowing from Marsh Lake to Maple Lake for all Vessels, boats and persons_ and Reserving on Said lot number Nineteen free access to the Shore of Maple Lake for all Vessels, boats and persons.  For which the Said Tomas Sword----- was located under the said Act, on the Fifteenth---------- day of May  A.D. 1871
To have and to hold, the said Parcel of Tract of Land, hereby granted, conveyed and assured unto the said Thomas Sword his heirs and assigns FOREVER; saving ,excepting and reserving, nevertheless unto Us, Our Heirs and Successors, all gold, silver, copper, lead, iron or other mines or minerals, and the free uses, passage and enjoyment of, in, over and upon all navigable waters that shall or may be hereafter found on or under, or be flowing through or upon any part of the said Parcel or Tract of Land hereby granted as foresaid.
