Sound storage THERE'S A PLACE FOR EVERYTHING... And everything is in its place with this four-piece 16" x 30" x 92" unit built by Jim Eagles of Blind River, Ont. Constructed to contain books and a sound system, the cabinet consists of two identical outer units with upper glass doors, lower raised-panel doors and adjustable shelves. The 7/8" thick x 1 1/2"-wide front frames are of red oak. Glued lap joints were used for all corners, and the 11/16" red oak veneer sides were ripped to 15 3/4". The oak-veneer shelves and drawer frames were ripped to 15 1/2", then faced with red-oak strips. Solid-oak drawer fronts were run through a table saw to create a 1" bevel.
