The Biography of Frank	•	Large baby when born •	Youngest child in the family of 6 •	Full name; Frank Cyril Hamill •	Sisters; Lulu, Alice, and Edna •	Not fond of school as a young child •	Suffered from croup as a child •	Started thinking about entering the medical field at age 14 •	Didn't have many friends •	Found book learning difficult •	Found lab work fascinating •	Brother Harry graduated from Medical school almost 10 years earlier and had gone to Manitoba to practice; victim of diabetes; died at age 32 •	Graduated University in 1922 •	Arrived in Blind River in 1923 •	Went to work for Dr Robb; McFadden-Malloy contract •	Possessed patience and cool resistance •	Returned to Toronto in 1924 for further training •	Internship at the hospital for Sick Children in Toronto 1924-25 •	In 1928 moved to his new room on the 3rd floor of the hospital •	Received $50/month salary from Dr. Robb •	Worked in the hospital or went to the patients homes •	Went to work in Ottawa at a clinic for diabetics and arthritics but returned to Blind River in 1935 •	Never left again to work •	Small in size 5 foot 4
