- This is a matted sepia tone photo of six men standing on top of a load of logs loaded onto a sleigh. One man holds the reins to the team of two horses hitched to the sleigh. Snow is on the ground and the background shows a sparsely forested area.

- Notes on the back of the photo read "Joe Roan's load at Farrell's Camp, Thessalon Lumber Co. bought out Dyment Lumber Co. in 1906. Compliments Espanola Historical Society January 26, 1989."
