Description
Black and white photo of a bulk milk tank truck. The words Algoma Co-op Transport Co. Ltd. can be seen on the driver's door. The truck is parked in front of a wooden building.
The truck was made by Dodge. That particular model was made from about 1959-1963. The bulk milk bed on the truck would have held about 2,000 U.S. gallons of milk. The bulk type of milk truck was relatively new for farm milk pickup in the early 1960s. Picking up milk in big tanks started in the 1950s. Prior to that it was picked up in 10 gallon cans.
