This is a black and white photo reproduction of Emma Allen taken outdoors at what appears to be a farm. There is a field and split rail fencing in the background. Emma wears a dark dress accented by a large white v-necked shawl type collar. There appears to be a border of stitch work along the edge of the collar.
Notes
"Our grandmother…Emma Maria (Gardiner) Allen." Notes beside this photo detail Emma's life from birth Feb. 26, 1888, earning her teaching certificate in 1905, marriage to Cyrus Allen April 23, 1914, raising a family of eight through to her death in May 31, 1954.

This photocopy can be found in the Gardiner/Allen scrapbook 1700's - 1954.
