Thessalon Lumber Company was established in Nestorville in 1907. The Dyment Lumber Mill buildings were purchased by Frank Nestor and moved from Thessalon to Nestorville.

With the mill came the establishment of the settlement of Nestorville. Notes from the Nestorville Women's Institute Tweedsmuir state that "The Town...came into being almost overnight and offered stores, livery stables, a pool hall, a barber shop, a boarding house, a blacksmiths, warehouses and private residences."

This photo shows loggers from Wylies' Camp. This was one of the many lumber camps that supplied logs to the Thessalon Lumber Company.

J.E. MacDonald reports that "The mill at Nestorville was more productive than Dyment's mill. Equipped with two band saws, a gang and resaw, the mill's output was about 165,000 board feet per 10-hour day...the annual cut totaled 25-30 million board feet"(p.47, This Point of Land).

This mill was sold to Bishop Lumber Company, and operated until 1925 when it was sold to J.J. McFadden of Blind River. The mill continued operation until it burned down June 3, 1928.
