        A Heavy Battery gun crew in action at Bully-Grenay, France, midsummer 1917. On August 9th, 1917, a direct hit by an enemy shell on the ammunition storage killed most of the gun crew including two Cobourg men. The resulting explosion totally destroyed the 60-pounder gun.
