Notes:
The Cobourg Horse Show was inaugurated in 1905, suspended in 1915, revived in 1919 and finally ended in 1926 with the age of mechanization. In its day, it was known as the finest horse show in North America. Located at Donegan Park, the Show was the social event of the year with gala balls and garden parties. it was attended by visitors from all over Ontario and the United States. It achieved international prominence in 1912 when Confidence, owned by the Hon. Clifford Sifton set a record jump of 7ft. 10 5/8 in.

"First lap of our journey over! Very happy surprize for when entering Dining room of Bristol Hotel - finding our very valued friend Mr. Morse returning from their cottage at Crowe Lake.
