This sepia-toned postcard shows the New Public School which was located on George Street and built in 1906. Postmarked in Cobourg, Ont. on July 2, 1912 at 5:50 pm. Also stamped " Cobourg, Ont. Horse Show, Aug. 13-17, 1912"
Notes:
The New Public School was later named Central Public School and then renamed again, to Thomas Gillbard Public School. In 2005 the school building was sold and conversion to condominiums began in 2006.
Inscriptions:
