The limestone quarry was used commercially for many years, up to the time of WW1, I believe. My mother's family lived in the lockmaster's house on Lock St. (now Bradley) and their back lot bordered on the quarry. My aunts recalled debris from quarry blasting landing on the west end of the property, and on one memorable occasion, punching a hole through the roof. A housing development was built on the property in the 1980s(?), and all traces of the quarry have disappeared.
