Being that this shot is 4 1/4" in diameter, I would assume it to be a cannonball and not a grapeshot. My guess would be a 6 or 9lb cannonball.

The diameter of the grapeshot is 1 5/16", the circumference is 4 1/8", so it is definitely not a cannonball. The weight is 7/16lbs.

The scale in the image is a little worn but it is 3 cm in length. >
